Perforated Sheet Metal
Perforated metal is any type of sheet metal that has a pattern of holes punched into it. This makes it useful for controlling the passage of air, light, liquids, and even sound. Perforated sheet metal is most commonly used for ventilation and filtering.
Sometimes referred to as mesh or grated, perforated metal is lightweight, versatile, durable, and aesthetically pleasing. It is easily powdercoat painted, as well as welded.
If you need an enclosure that requires a series of holes for ventilation and filtration purposes, perforated metal is a cost-effective option compared to laser-cutting hundreds of holes individually.
Perforated sheet metal can be attached to sheet metal enclosures or panels either by welding, or using fasteners.
Protocase stocks perforated aluminum, and perforated cold rolled steel.
