Common Bracket Styles:

There are five common bracket styles:
L-Bracket
Commonly used for mounting a horizontal component to a vertical surface, or vice versa.
Z-Bracket
Brackets are bent twice into the shape of a Z. They are used for mounting offset parallel surfaces.
U-Bracket
Formed into the shape of a U, these brackets are useful for mounting parallel surfaces together.
Offset-Bracket
Commonly used like U brackets to contain components, except in this case, , the bottom flanges mount to the inside of an enclosure or assembly. A part or component would be mounted to the raised surface of the offset bracket.
Gusset Bracket
Forming the shape of a triangle, these brackets provide rigidity between adjacent surfaces within your design.
